Warrior's Path

The World Is Not Silent
Yet the warrior hears the Tao — not by retreating, but by choosing well.

At BCMAA, martial arts is not a sport or status symbol—it is a discipline of the soul. The Warrior's Path embraces pain, not as punishment, but as a tool. Inspired by the teachings of Hanshi Michael Crump, we train not to fight others, but to overcome the illusions that separate us from God, truth, and our true selves.
The Essence of Budo
Budo means "the way of the warrior." It teaches that life is suffering—but that suffering is not the enemy. We live in a world where people chase pleasure and power to escape discomfort. But the warrior learns to walk through suffering with grace, guided by the virtues of righteousness, courage, compassion, respect, integrity, honor, loyalty, wisdom, and self-control.
From Struggle to Strength: Tisha’s Journey

In 2017, Tisha Crump began martial arts as a way to find confidence and healing. She did not expect to fall in love with the training—but she did. She didn’t expect to face her deepest fears—but she did. She didn’t expect to become a black belt—but she did, and more importantly, she became herself.
Today, she trains and teachs alongside her husband, Hanshi Crump, leading others not by force—but with heart, grace, and quiet strength. Her transformation helped inspire the creation of BCMAA.
“The warrior does not aim to escape pain. He walks through it with honor. This is the essence of Budo.”
